The Challenge:  Leilo was a brand new product launching on Amazon.  Leilo's ingredients include a plant based element, known as kava, that produces a calming effect. Not only did we have to build brand and sales but had to push through the uncertainty of Amazon's regulations.  Selling a product that includes kava -  non FDA approved as it's considered a dietary supplement - presented challenges in the beginning to getting it listed on Amazon.


Client Goal:  Build brand awareness for the new product and achieve a half a million in sales with consistent growth month over month.


Solutions:  Identified and utilized a variety of Amazon tools, like Launchpad, advertising campaign platforms, AB testing, Amazon Live, and promotions.  Every placement we applied for, like IMDb, Amazon Prime, meet the launchers page, etc. we earned!  Partnered with influencers who talked about the product and shared their experiences of calmness during stressful times after drinking Leilo.  Implemented a strategy of changing the variation to include size, flavor, cross sell different flavors and launched 2 new flavors in 2022.  Additionally, launched Leilo brand store, sponsored brand campaigns, and A+ detail pages.  Amazon mislabeled SKUs causing setback, refunds, and negative reviews in the beginning as customers received wrong flavors.  We immediately addressed the issue and negative reviews, utilizing tools to respond and engage with customers as well as sending them the correct product.  We also developed a forecast tool for Leilo to incorporate when holding discussion meetings with future investors.


Results:  Consistent MOM growth of 25% and an average growth of 67% MOM for 2021.  The advertising strategies we implemented resulted in a big percentage of the sales, as high as 45%.  In six months time, while starting from scratch, we earned 109 reviews of 4.4 stars.
